千駄ヶ谷にある建設会社のエントランスの改修工事を行った。この建物は2つの道路に挟まれて計画されているため、このエントランススペースを通過して道路を行き来する人が多くいることが分かった。日常的に使われる動線を少しだけ彩るような計画にするために天井に着目した。古いビルであるために天井内に上階の配管がありそのメンテナンスをしやすくしたいという要望と合わせて考え、わずかに歪んだ円形の傘をもつ照明が反復されることで新しい天井のような存在感を作り出すことを試みた。アルミで製作したこの照明は、日中は移動する人や周囲の環境を優しく映し出し、夕方には小さな光を優しく反射するこ。移動空間に小さな華やかさを演出できる計画とした。

This project involved the renovation of the entrance to a construction company located in Sendagaya. Since the building is positioned between two roads, I noticed that many people pass through the entrance space to move between these roads. I focused on the ceiling to create a design that would subtly enhance the daily flow of people. The building is old, and there are pipes from the upper floors inside the ceiling, so there was a request to make maintenance easier. With this in mind, I aimed to create a new ceiling presence by repeating slightly distorted circular lights shaped like umbrellas. These aluminum lights gently reflect the surrounding environment and people passing by during the day and softly reflect small lights in the evening. The design brings a touch of elegance to the passageway.
